About the Role

                                                                                                          

SuccessMetrics is seeking a highly skilled Accessibility Specialist with at least three years of experience to ensure our digital products and content are fully accessible to all users. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in WCAG 2.1 AA, Section 508 compliance, and hands-on experience with a wide range of accessibility testing tools.


In this role, you will evaluate websites, applications, documents, and other digital resources for accessibility, collaborate closely with design, development, and content teams, and provide clear guidance on remediation and best practices. You will also help embed accessibility into our workflows through training and continuous improvement efforts.

 

Note: A visual impairment is not required for this position.

Key Responsibilities

​​​

  • Conduct thorough manual and automated accessibility evaluations of digital content and applications using industry-standard tools (e.g., axe, WAVE, ARC) and assistive technologies (e.g., JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver).

  • Provide clear, actionable, and comprehensive remediation guidance to development, design, and content creation teams.

  • Offer ongoing coaching, support, and training on accessibility best practices to cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with teams to ensure proactive compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA, Section 508, and other global accessibility standards.

  • Assist in creating comprehensive audit reports and maintain all required compliance documentation.

  • Stay current with the latest trends, developments, and legislative changes in digital accessibility.

Required Qualifications

​​

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience focused on digital accessibility testing and remediation.

  • Expert-level knowledge of WCAG 2.1 (Level AA minimum) and US compliance requirements like Section 508.

  • Demonstrated experience in effectively identifying, documenting, and verifying complex accessibility issues in both code and design.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
